With a “salty sea dog” theme for its second birthday, Chilworth Community Cinema (CCC) hosted a sell-out, spectacular evening which included a pre-film Fish and Chips supper, and the delightful film, Fisherman’s Friend, filmed in Port Isacc.
The cinema, staffed entirely by volunteers, meets once a month and offers a convivial atmosphere to meet friends and neighbours and enjoy a film. Wine, beer and cider as well as soft drinks, tea and coffee are on offer alongside Loseley IceCream. It meets in the village hall and a poster is produced to advertise the next film which is displayed on the main road at the top of Blacksmith Lane.
An extra surprise was a lovely birthday cake, baked by a regular supporter of the cinema, which was enjoyed in the interval.
