Christmas lights – St Martha Church appeal for new floodlights

Our iconic church on the hill, that we see lit up at Christmas, needs new floodlights, and an appeal is under way. Please see below for details of how to contribute.

St Martha’s floodlights have lit the church for half a century on dark winter nights. This beacon of light can be seen for miles across the countryside, bringing delight to travellers far and wide.We must replace the lights this year. The old ones are no longer fit for purpose. Please give generously to our appeal for funds to install new, energy-efficient lights.

Community Cinema relaunch postponed

Keeping everyone’s safety uppermost in our minds, it has been decided to delay the reopening of the community cinema for at least another month and possibly not until September.

We look forward to a time when social distancing will not be mandatory and the wearing of masks inside will be optional.
Ever optimistic regards to all
