Chilworth School is a Church voluntary aided village school situated in rural surroundings near Guildford, Surrey. It caters for pupils from the ages of four to seven.
Chilworth school is a wonderful environment for children to start their school journey. Set in a beautiful location with the backdrop of St. Martha’s Hill, the school has extensive grounds, fully enclosed for safety and security, whilst offering a wide range of stimulating outdoor environments that are utilized in all weathers! It is a friendly, caring community which provides an excellent education for the children in its care.
In February 2014, Chilworth C of E Infant School was designating Outstanding by Ofsted inspectors.

Our Village Infant School judged an Outstanding School by Ofsted February 2014
Teachers and pupils at Chilworth Church of England Infant School are celebrating an ‘outstanding’ rating by Ofsted.
The village school was given the highest possible rating across the board; achievement of pupils; quality of teaching; behaviour and safety of pupils, and leadership and management. The report praised the teachers’ ‘enthusiasm and energy’ and said that ‘pupils make excellent progress because they are extremely well taught and thoroughly enjoy learning.’
It also highlighted pupils’ behaviour, describing them as ‘delightful; they chat confidently to adults and are kind and courteous to each other’, and praised the high calibre of leadership in the school.
Headteacher, Maggie Mackie said, “ We are delighted to have been rated as outstanding . It is a testament to all the hard work and commitment shown by all involved in the school” .
Patricia Allen, Chair of Governors added, “Governors are proud of the place this school holds as a hub of its local community and of the strong sense of teamwork within the school, where everyone pulls together to do the very best they can for all pupils. Its staff are exceptional and this is a well deserved result.”
